Five star self-catering
accommodation for up to 8 people set amid the breathtaking
scenery of the Western Highlands
Rowanbank is a luxurious 3-storey cottage, architect designed to personal specification at the turn of the new century. Warm and spacious, the many rooms have been designed with style and comfort in mind. Beautifully fitted in oak, the cottage radiates warmth, comfort and homeliness.
Deceptively designed, Rowanbank appears from the front to be a typical 2-storey Scottish cottage, hiding its third storey which is cleverly built into the side of a hill that slopes gently down to a tumbling burn. The beautiful informal gardens surround the house and are filled with a wide variety of trees, shrubs, herbs and flowers giving interest the whole year round. Along with the magnificent backdrop of Ben Cruachan, the garden is a peaceful and relaxing place to sit throughout the year.
Set in the heart of the stunning Western Highlands, Rowanbank sits on the edge of the lovely village of Kilchrenan, only 2 miles from Loch Awe and with easy access to a wide variety of activities such as walking, climbing, golf, mountain biking and fishing. Sailing and other watersports are close by. Although enjoying a rural location, Rowanbank is only a 25 minute drive from Oban and has two of Scotlands finest 4 star hotels within 2 miles. The local pub, the Kilchrenan Inn, offers a warm welcome throughout the year and offers food during peak holiday seasons.
